World Communion Sunday,

Rev. Darwin Wilson, Lutheran Church ELCA, joined with Pastor Elbert Paul Dulworth to celebrate the open table of Communion between the two denominations. The Rev. Wilson is the father of our Administrative Assistant, Sarah Asiala. He is retired from the Ministry and recently celebrated 50 years of Ordination.

LUMC lit up in a blaze of red & yellow color during Pentecost Sunday June 12th, 2011. Church bulletins were printed in different shades of fiery colors that morning to depict the story from the Scriptures of the Holy Spirit descending on the Disciples.

Family Ministries Presents:
A Night Out With the Lansing Lugnuts!
Several of LUMC's church families got together around 6pm to meet at Liskey's parking lot for a yummy tailgate party before the game. All enjoyed the baseball game at 7pm and the warm weather to go with it! Many wore their LUMC spirit wear, showing their love for their church and their Lord. We are planning on next year and hope you and your family will make plans to join us!

Vacation Bible School 2011!
This year's theme was "Shake it Up" where kids carry out God's recipe. We are on day 3 and the kids are learning about God and having a great time along the way! Come join us at LUMC, Friday, July 29th at Noon for a short program and light hotdog lunch.
